New Manu Chao video directed by Emir Kusturica

Okay, anyone who knows me that Manu Chao is my favorite musician ever. Liz and I even got to hang out with him a little earlier this summer. Tomorrow we’re going to go see him in Philly!! yay!!

Along with that exciting news, Emir Kusturiça is one of my favorite directors ever (dir. Underground, Black Cat White Cat, Time of The Gypsies, and a bunch of others). He just directed the new Manu Chao video clip for “Rainin’ In Paradize,” shot in Buenos Aires. Scroll down for the video.

The new album “La Radiolina” apparently comes out on August 27th, though I’m not sure if that’s the date it comes out in the U.S…however that stuff doesn’t really matter anymore with the web… does it? If anyone has some advance tracks online please email me some links. I’ll love you forever xoxox Scotty

You have good taste in both music and film. I really like Manu Chao and had the opportunity to catch one of his shows in Paris. I also really like Emir Kusturica. Black Cat white Cat is my favorite film of all time.

Glad to find out you like both Manu Chao and Kusturica. I’m from Serbia and I feel very proud that these two have finally got together to do something creative. Me and my mates had this idea for a long time, we just didn’t know how to tell them!!! We have seen Manu Chao live in Belgrade a few years ago and because our friend was on his mailing list for a long time (got the backstage tickets from Manu personally before the concert - we were there!)we had the privilege to be in his and his band’s company after the concert. Before that, I have NEVER in my life seen so much postive energy in one place. They were still singing and dancing even though the concert was over. Hope he’ll come to Belgrade again…
Greetings to all Manu Chao fans. Mucha suerte!

Manu Chao is THE BEST of music currently in the world. Joe Strummer is dead, but Manu Chao is very alive and kicking:) I was surprised to see Emir (a declared fascist) working with Manu chao (declared pacifists)….., I am sorry, but I don’t see the relationship between these two.
Manu Chao is either misinformed, or lied too!
