Okay friends.. Here's an ever growing list of films to see, both Indie and not.

FILMS TO SEE BEFORE YOU DIE

The whole story of how I learned about Indie Films is pretty funny. There's this AMAZING indie video store in my neighborhood. Before it was so easy to find and check out films on Soulseek or whatever other file sharing network, it was kind of an expensive thing to teach oneself about good films via trial and error. Wow! There is so much crap out there.. and not even good crap. Anyhow, one day I went into the video library and discovered that one of my friends from college worked as the manager. He told me of his newfound interest in photography, and lamented being too broke to buy chemicals and paper. It just so happened that I had a ton of photography supplies I "borrowed" from school sitting in my closet, and would gladly trade all of these supplies for an unlimited rental agreement for the whole duration of when he was the manager. What a great trade.. sooo.. for the next few years I would take out a bunch of films every night, then return them the next day. I would learn about greats like Jodorowsky, Jeunet, Spheeris, The Maysles Brothers, and more.. After watching almost a 500 films, my friend quit his job. Boo Hoo.

A great resourse to research film is the internet movie database www.imdb.com

So, happy hunting! This is the official Scott Beibin film school in no particular order, other than alphabetical. Feel free to get in touch with some suggestions.
